The Positives And Negatives Of Wind Turbine Energy Generators

Almost everybody  is familiar with what a wind turbine is and the way they produce energy, however for those whom don't  know I will explain.  The  traditional design resembles a small windmill on a toll structure. Unlike other green energy methods, wind turbines will consistently work 24/7, providing there is wind. Solar panels cannot operate in the dark while wind turbines can. With so much fear about pollution today, turbines are a great option  because they are so clean. More  turbines may reduce the causes of global warming which in turn threaten the planet today. Another feature is that turbines are using energy from a continuously renewing source.  Therefore there is always going to be energy produced by the turbines. 

As with anything there are some disadvantages of implementing wind turbines for energy. Many people don't want to be observing a tall tower with a  propeller on the top outside their window. When put in groups, such as the massive  commercial installations in coastal regions and even out at sea, precisely where there are high winds, they are not an attractive site. They are also fairly noisy due to the rotor creating sound as it moves. While excellent for meeting the needs of human beings, they can be harmful to birds and bats. Bats particularly are susceptible, due to the fact their sonar system is disturbed  by the rapid movement in the air. While these incidents are rarely noted they do take place. 

Wind turbines definitely seem to  be a great source of energy, but of course there are downsides like with anything. With suitable planning they can be very useful and  beneficial.
